We absolutely loved our stay at The Blackman! The facilities were fantastic, with a spacious room, a helpful kitchenette, and a super comfortable king size bed. The balcony provided a breath of fresh air and stunning views. The location was perfect, allowing us to easily explore the vibrant city. The staff were friendly and happy, making us feel right at home. And as party people, we appreciated the convenience and comfort of having a full size fridge to store our drinks. a brilliant experience!
We felt very welcomed during our stay and have no complaints whatsoever.

The bed was the most comfortable i have ever slept in. The French cafe downstairs had gorgeous food. And the staff were incredibly helpful
Our room was a bit noisy as we could hear the garbage lorries early every morning. If we had been hiher (we were L2) this may not have been such a problem

The Blackman is a hidden gem nicely positioned away from the hectic hustle of the city. I loved that it is located between two beautiful parks, which gave it a serene and peaceful atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making me feel warmly welcomed throughout my stay. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, with a balcony and kitchenette offering great views of the surrounding area. Plus, having breakfast included was a fantastic bonus that added extra value to my stay.
All aspects of my stay at this hotel were absolutely fine.

Exceptionally obliging & friendly staff. We did not like the outlook from the room we were originally allocated & were immediately upgraded to an executive suite with a lovely outlook.Very comfortable and clean.
It would appear that some rooms have a very "ordinary" outlook. Balconies are useless for somebody who uses a wheelchair.

This is a clean, modern, and quiet hotel. I particularly loved the art prints in the hotel room. I was traveling alone and felt perfectly safe here. It is very close to the Royal Botanic Garden and Art Museums in Melbourne and is right on a tramway into Downtown.
Internet (Wi-Fi or Ethernet) is not free.

The room was spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, which allowed for a decent night's sleep. The location was great, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby to explore. there were many interesting sights to see, which made for an enjoyable stay.
The staff was not very friendly or helpful, which put a damper on the entire experience. the hotel was not well-maintained, with stained carpets and dusty surfaces.

Enjoyed the fantastic design of the room. The bed was comfortable and the selection of movie titles is fantastic.
1.would be perfect if there was a washer/dryer. 2.should hv some free complimentary items for guests e.g bottled water/coffee & tea which is common practice in hotels.

We stayed near a tram stop that had easy access to the city and South Yarra area. However, the noise from the tram line out front could be heard throughout the night. The Italian restaurant beside the foyer was a nice touch though.
The bathroom was a bit small and there was a hefty credit card surcharge that wasn't warned about in advance.
